Atlanta United is suffering a terrible season, that may end very bad if the team doesn't react immediately. Stephen Glass will have to make a miracle in the three games remaining in order to earn the points enough to end the regular season at the playoffs zone. But, despite on what will be happening, there are some reasons to understand this present.

First, why need to point out the absence of striker Josef Martínez, a key player in the team who suffered a torn ACL. The millionaire sales of the club during the last years had also affected the performances: Gonzalo "Pity" Martínez, Héctor Villalba or Miguel Almirón where very important offensive players for the team and left.

Besides the sales didn't help the team, the arrival neither do. Marcelino Moreno or Jurgen Damm, the latest signings, couldn't perform as it was expected to and the club awaits now for a player who leads. After all, Atlanta has scored just 19 goals out of 20 games, being the second team that scored the less in the whole league.

Atlanta will have a last chance to recover from this awful season, as there are still three matches remaining. The Five Stripes gains 18 points so far and need to win two or maybe the three games left in order to qualify to the playoffs zone. On Wednesday night they'll face Orlando City in one of the last big chances and afterwards they will play against Cincinnati and Columbus Crew.
