This Wednesday was not another day in the history of MLS and Liga MX. It was announced that on August 25 at the Banc of California Stadium, home of Los Angeles FC, Carlos Vela's team, the MLS-Liga MX All-Star Game will take place.

It will be the second time that the All Star Game has been played in Los Angeles between MLS and Liga MX players, after the 2003 duel between the stars of the American league and Chivas. Until 2019, since 2020 wasn't disputed due to the coronavirus pandemic, a match was played between the MLS stars and a European team that was making the preseason tour in the United States.

With the match getting closer and closer, and although the competition in Mexico has not yet resumed and in the United States it continues at a steady pace, from El Futbolero we propose to create the possible alignments of both the MLS and the Liga MX.

This is how Liga MX could form for the All Star Game

In the arc, there isn't doubt: Jesús Corona, who was key in obtaining the title for Cruz Azul, cutting 23 years without being champion. The defenders could be Mateus Doria, César Montes and William Tesillo.

The four star midfielders could be Pedro Aquino, Luis Romo (who has offers from Europe and in case of emigration he will lose the Game), Ángel Mena and Rubens Sambueza.

And up front, two foreigners and one nationalized Mexican. We are talking about Jonathan Rodríguez, André-Pierre Gignac and Rogelio Funes Mori.

Alexis Canelo, Luis Montes, Jesús Gallardo, Carlos Salcedo, Orbelín Pineda, Alexis Vega, Fernando Gorriarán, Sebastián Córdova and Nicolás Ibáñez, among others, will also surely be summoned to the event.

MLS is characterized by having great players from the midfield forward. However, they also sport various archers and defenders. For the goalkeeper position, Andre Blake could be the candidate to participate in the event, while Anton Tinnerholm, Walter Zimmermann and Aaron Long would complete the background.

Former Tigres, Lucas Zelarayán, would start in midfield with a USMNT symbol like Michael Bradley and two phenomenal South Americans such as Argentine Diego Valeri and Uruguayan Nico Lodeiro. As Mexicans are well loved on that side of the border, we will have Carlos Vela and Chicharito Hernández along with another Latino, the Venezuelan Josef Martínez.

But that isn't all, because Gonzalo Higuaín, Federico Higuaín, Pato, Nani, Rubén Ruidíaz, Maxi Moralez, Alan Pulido, Blaise Matuidi and Esequiel Barco can also play, among many other stars who shine in the competition.
