MLS has always been a league that could get some top Latin players to conform top squads. The incredible purchasing power of the league, linked to the good financial situation of the U.S. has helped the teams buying some very interesting talents from all over the country.

The most remarkable case of this is the one of Carlos Vela, Mexican attacker born in Cancún who arrived to Los Angeles FC on January 2018 from Real Sociedad. The forward played almost 15 years in Europe and decided to return to the continent and join the MLS. In his first season he set an all-time goal scoring record, and now he is chasing the first title in LAFC history.

The second Latin player from the MLS to put an eye on is Venezuelan Josef Martínez. Aged 27, the striker plays for Atlanta United and is one of the best ones in the history of the league. He has 82 goals scored in just 92 appearances and after a season in which he was injured during a long period of time, he is still recovering to have an incredible 2021.

To complete the list, we should mention some other eight Latin players at the MLS that are very interesting, such as Nicolás Lodeiro (Seattle Sounders), Maxi Moralez (New York City FC), Jonathan dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Alejandro Pozuelo (Toronto FC), Chicharito Hernández (LA Galaxy), Carles Gil (New England Revolution), Ike Opara (Minnesota United) and Eduard Atuesta (LAFC).
