In the past, any club was proud to call one of its players to a national team. Today, things have changed, and several MLS teams are not at all happy with CONMEBOL's match schedule heading to the Qatar FIFA World Cup.
It has been confirmed that due to the protocol schedule carried out by CONMEBOL's national teams, players who have been called up and play in MLS will miss the rest of the season with their teams.
Players such as Diego Rossi, Cristian Pavón, and Raúl Ruidiaz, among several summoned to these games, are the ones who would miss the rest of the season before the Playoffs if they entered the final list of their national teams, something that does not please at all to various MLS clubs.
