With MLS is Back Tournament nearing completion, MLS announces a return date for the 2020 season.

Orlando City Soccer Club and Portland Timbers are days away from playing the MLS is Back Tournament final, which will take place on Tuesday, August 11. With this game so close to being played and the preparation tournament so close to culminating, MLS announced its return date for the 2020 season.

The return date will be Wednesday, August 12, with FC Dallas vs Nashville SC, one day after the MLS is Back Tournament final. This means that MLS will not waste time between tournaments.

The managers will take the same security measures taken in MLS is Back Tournament, with many more precautions taking into account that the teams will not play in a single venue but will have to travel. MLS fans will have a vibrant week beginning August 11, with the MLS is Back final, and a day later with the restart of the 2020 MLS season.
