The transfer market is active on several continents; for this reason, there are players with the possibility of emigrating to Europe, MLS, the Middle East, and South America. In this case, a player on loan in Argentina has offers in MLS and Qatar.
The player is Cristian Lema, who is on loan at Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys, and the owner of his transfer is Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The Portuguese team intends to sell the player for 2 million euros. Two groups, one in MLS and one in Qatar, can bear the transfer fee.
Several Argentine clubs, including Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys, are interested in Cristian Lema. However, they cannot bear the transfer cost. On the other hand, the player has confessed that he will only play for Newell’s Old Boys if he stays in Argentina, although he is willing to move to another country.
Sport Lisboa e Benfica hopes to finalize the sale of Cristian Lema, either in MLS or Qatar. However, if the negotiation is not completed, the team would be willing to negotiate a new loan with Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys.
