There is no end to the information regarding MLS 2022 and the most recent is that Valentin Castellanos of NYCFC, is in the sights of Inter of Brazil, who need him to reinforce their forward line.

New York City FC will have to move to LA in order to dispute CONCACAF Champions League

And it is not surprising that this and several other teams have tried to sign the player, without having succeeded so far due to the good step he has had in Major League Soccer.

But everything could change as SC Internacional de Porto Alegre of Brazil's Serie A has the urgency of having a more lethal striker than the one they have now, to face their next commitments.

According to the information spread by the Argentinean journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the Brazilian club will bet on "Taty" to have a more competitive striker, an issue that they really need to solve and for which they have already tried some signings without success.

For example, the "Colorado" club has already tried to sign Ezequiel Barco, but could not complete the transfer and this player ended up in River Plate. They also tried to sign Brian Rodríguez, a transfer that was also unsuccessful, so the player has already started the preseason with LAFC.

For what reasons would it be very likely that Valentín Castellanos leaves New York City FC and goes to Porto in Brazil?

There are two reasons why it would be very likely that the 23-year-old Argentine striker would accept his transfer to Brazil.

On the one hand, the Brazilian team would try to reach the sum that New York City FC is asking for the player, which is 22 million dollars, but that would not be a problem for Inter Porto Alegre.

And it would not be because Inter wants to replace Yuri Alberto, who was sold to Zenit of Russia, so the Porto Alegre team earned 25 million euros for the sale of Yuri, so the money would not be an impediment for them to take "Taty"

And the second reason why his transfer would be possible is that the striker is looking forward to playing in Brazil, and he would also be very close to his country, Argentina.

And this is the most powerful reason of all since in January of this year the player set off the alarms in NYCFC when he declared that his dream would be to go to play for River Plate, but his exit clause was too expensive for Los Millonarios.

Therefore, now his departure is much more possible due to the money that Inter of Porto Alegre manages, and the desire that the player has to go to play in Brazil.

What other teams have sought Valentín Castellanos without success?

The list of teams that have been left wanting to sign "Taty" Castellanos is of at least 6 clubs from different parts of the world that dreamed of having him in their ranks but did not succeed.

These teams appeared little by little just after the player was crowned in the MLS with New York City FC, against the Portland Timbers.

From that moment on, Turkish side Besiktas and Russian side Krasnodar were the first to put the player on their radar. These teams would later be joined by some more attractive ones.

Among them were Palmeiras of Brazil, West Ham of England, River Plate of Argentina, and Fiorentina of Italy, although there were no formal offers for the player, and this information was known through rumors.

Inter of Porto Alegre joins this group but everything seems to indicate that it is the most likely to keep "Taty".
