MLS has crowned Columbus Crew as the last champions in 2020. Now, during the winter break, teams are rebuilding their squads, some new coaches are arriving like Gabriel Heinze, who just joined Atlanta United, or Greg Vanney, who has arrived in Los Angeles Galaxy. The fans are expectant for a new season.

After the winter is over in United States, April 3 will see the 2021 kick off, in what will represent the 26th season of the Major League Soccer. MLS will give a warm welcome to Western Conference newcomers Austin FC, who will enter the competition from Texas. The team has just unveiled new signings like Paraguay’s Cecilio Domínguez, or the impressive Q2 stadium.

Apart from the regular season, we’ll obviously see the Playoffs after it. But now, we’ll also have the League Cup and the Champions Cup during summer. After Austin FC’s arrival, Western Conference has now 13 teams, while Eastern Conference includes 14. Given the tough health situation the world is suffering since last year, safety protocols will be big priority.

As such, every team will be evaluating their members every two days, and the day before each match. Also, flights will be exclusively charter, in order to restrict movements as much as possible. Playoffs will be played from November 19 to December 11.
