Luciano Acosta received a formal offer from a major US league team, which was accepted. One of the best Atlas players, the Argentinean player has ceased to be part of the 'Rojinegro' team as of this Tuesday. The club confirmed through its social networks and its website that the attacker received an offer from the MLS, which was accepted.

“We inform that Luciano Acosta received a formal offer from Major League Soccer, in which he was invited to join FC Cincinnati. This offer was accepted by the player and derived from it, we confirmed his definitive transfer to the whole of Ohio ", mentioned the Guadalajara club in the press release.

This decision will surely affect the collective performance of the Foxes, who have already added seven consecutive games without losing in the Liga BBVA MX Tournament, and the departure of ‘Lucho’ occurs just when Diego Cocca was achieving a solid game as a team. Just last day, Acosta was chosen as one of the players who made up the ideal eleven of the week.

Finally, the club thanked Luciano for his effort, wishing him a successful career in American soccer. "We thank Luciano for having defended our shield and we wish him the best of success in this new stage of his professional career." That was the way the team and the player officially parted ways.

Luciano Acosta's summed career:

The 26-year-old Argentine player played three tournaments with Atlas, adding a total of 2,323 minutes and scoring three goals. Before he went through Boca Juniors (in two different stages), Estudiantes de la Plata, and had also played in MLS, being between 2016 and 2019 with DC United, where he scored a total of 24 goals.
