Julián Araujo, 19-year-old right back from the Los Angeles Galaxy, who scored of one of the goals in the team's loss to Portland Timbers last night. He is one of the greatest promises of MLS. For that reason, he has called the attention of the coaches of the major teams in CONCACAF, the United States and Mexico.

Araujo, born in California but son of Mexicans, could represent either of both countries. Although he said that it is a situation that stresses him a lot, everything seems to indicate that he will choose to play for the United States, the country which h has already represented in youth categories.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto also expressed his opinion on the issue. The Argentinian coach recommended  the player to stay calm and made it clear that the final decision is purely and exclusively of his own. On the letter, Araujo stated that he will choose which national team he will represent depending on which country ensures him a safer international projection.

The Californian player debuted in March of last year. He totalize 18 games, 10 as a starter. However, this season, he managed to establish himself as the starting right back for the Los Angeles Galaxy defense. The player is one of Guillermo Barros Schelotto's favorites.
