At the beginning of the season when John Torrington had to decide which players were going to be part of LAFC, he did not realize that his defense was not good enough to win the MLS Cup. Because of that mistake in the selection of the squad, LAFC had to hire Colombian defender Jesus David Murillo.

Despite the constant injuries of LAFC defenders, Torrington could never find the players to form a solid defense. Jakovik, who was supposed to replace Zimmerman, never met the coach's goals. By putting defender Beitashour aside, he was left with no big-name defenders to pursue the MLS Cup.

Jesus Murillo has already been confirmed as a new LAFC reinforcement but will be missing to see him in training. When he arrives in Los Angeles, the Colombian player must wait 14 days to be in contact with the rest of his teammates. He's a great player for LAFC but he should have made it to the beginning of the season not now.

LAFC is in the fourth position of the MLS and urgently needs the return of Carlos Vela. By the end of the regular season, it is expected that the Mexican striker can be back on the soccer field. If time is right, both Murillo and Vela will play for LAFC on the same date.
