Is it a failure for Inter Miami to stay out of the playoffs?

The truth is that Inter Miami still has a long shot to make it to the playoffs with seven games left of the regular season. Currently they are in twelfth place with 14 points and the first team in playoff position is Nashville SC that has 4 more points. What is the key for Inter Miami to qualify?

When people were told that Beckham was founding a team to play in the MLS all the expectations were really high considering the level of the English player on the pitch. No one would have a better eye than David Beckham to prepare a competitive squad and get to the MLS Playoffs.

The team will face Houston Dynamo next week and need to rack up points to keep the dream alive. The signing of Gonzalo Higuaín should be the sprint they need to get there and finish at least at the top 16 of the season, but there is a lot to improve.

Inter Miami has not been getting the result themselves expected because of the lack of stars that would take the ball at the last minutes. Maybe they found it for the rest of the season, or maybe they would have to go home and reorganize for the next one and try to be a really competitive franchise.
