Former English soccer player David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami, has contacted Lionel Messi so that the Argentine star will play for that Major League Soccer (MLS) team in the United States once his contract with Paris Saint Germain expires.

According to the London newspaper Daily Mirror, Beckham has already "contacted Messi to try to convince him to join Inter Miami (MLS), of which he is the owner".

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player "wants to take advantage of the fact that Messi has several luxury apartments in Miami". According to the English newspaper, Beckham would use this "as a temptation for him to move to that city and make his dream of seeing Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play together, with whom he would also be in contact, come true", the information points out.

This is not the first time Messi has been linked to the U.S. franchise as Inter Miami co-founder Jorge Mas recently told the press that at the MLS club, they have "the ambition to get the best players and Leo Messi is probably the best player of all time."

"I am optimistic that Messi will play in the Inter Miami jersey because I believe he will complete the legacy of the best player of our generation and fit the ambitions of building a world-class team," Mas told the U.S. newspaper.

Lionel Messi, 34 years ols, after his surprise departure from Barcelona signed with Paris Saint-Germain for two years with an option to play one more season (2023-24) at PSG, but MLS appears on Messi horizon.

The Argentine star has already expressed his desire to live the experience of living in the USA and play in the North American league. Beckham heard this and did not hesitate to make the first calls to plan the recruitment of Messi. A year ago, when he threatened to leave the Catalan club, he acknowledged his desire to play in MLS before the end of his career.
