A few weeks after the start of the 2021 MLS season, Inter Miami had to suspend their friendlies and sports activity in their training centers. The reason for making this drastic decision's a major Covid-19 outbreak suffered by several members of his staff, which caused panic and led to the drastic decision. 

Through an official statement, the team where the Mexican Rodolfo Pizarro plays and also the Argentines Gonzalo Higuaín, Federico Higuaín, Matías Pellegrini, Nicolás Figal, Julián Carranza and Leandro González Pirez announced "the cancellation of this week's training games in IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, as a precaution for the health and safety of players and staff, and the Club's weekly media availability, which was scheduled for this Wednesday, has also been canceled".

Inter Miami closed its training center

To prevent the virus from spreading among its employees, the Florida franchise decided to close its training center for at least several days. It will be disinfected and once all the staff (players, coaching staff and employees) are subjected to PCR tests and test negative, they will return to activity normally.
