Svensson has already returned from his involvement with the Swedish National Team. Actually, his absence from next Friday's game against Los Angeles Football Club is not due to physical fatigue or injury. The player played 44 minutes and returned to the United States on September 8.

However, the Swedish is under a mandatory 10-day quarantine. In real time he would be legally entitled to play against LAFC. But it will not be the case because by then he will not have had any pre-game training with his team.

Despite this situation, Garth Lagerwey ruled out that it represents a conflict for the franchise. “We knew when he left he might not be available for the next game,” Lagerwey said during his appearance on Sounders Weekly. In fact, it would not be a big problem: while Svensson was away, the team achieved a historic 7-1 win against San José.
