Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Alexandre Monteiro de Lima, better known as Alex, played in MLS for six years. Two years since his departure from the US league he has travelled to different teams across Asia. Today, his transfer to Jamshedpur FC from India was confirmed.

Alex began his career in the youth system of Gremio Maurense in 2008. The following year he made his first appareance at Europe in Swiss soccer. There he played at FC Gossau and FC Wohlen. Finally, he landed in the MLS to play for Chicago Fire in 2015 and was traded to Houston Dynamo three years later.

The Brazilian midfielder was realesed from the MLS in 2017. Later he signed for K League 2 side Suwon FC from South Korea where his strange moves along Asia started. After Suwon, he went to Anyang and finally played for Ho Chi Minh City FC from Vietnamese soccer. Today, this globetrotter's career took him to India. Where he will go next?
