After losing two of their most promising players on the offseason, with Ricardo Pepi joining FC Augsburg on a permanent move worth $20 million, and the 18-month loan with option to buy of Justin Che to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the FC Dallas is finally looking to add a player that excites fans.

Now, Dallas has set their eyes in South America, as they already offered $7 million for Club Atlético Independiente’s Alan Velasco. Said offer was rejected by Independiente’s management, but they’re open to transfer Velasco if the price is right.

The arrival of the 19-year-old left-winger in MLS is a matter of time, as the Argentinean team has debts to pay and they’re not close to let one of Argentina’s most promising players go, although they’re expecting an offer close to $10 million, a figure Dallas would be able to pay after Pepi’s departure.
