The objective of Olivier Giroud is to go to a team where he can have more minutes to be able to have a greater football rhythm for the European Championship with the French team. For this same reason, he would not look down on reaching the MLS. The arrival of a player of his magnitude worries all the players, but especially Vela and Javier Hernandez as they would lose much prominence.

The arrival of a player like Giroud always boosts any league but it also worries the best players as it steals their prominence. There are few MLS teams today that would bet on signing Giroud but they know that the media and sales boom is very important. That is why NYCFC would already be thinking about hiring the French forward.

NYCFC currently has its Designated Player position vacated due to Mitrita's recent departure from the team. That would make things easier for the New York team as Giroud will clearly have to use that spot on any team that arrives. In addition, the French forward would see New York as a great place to live with his family.

Olivier Giroud has already said in another moment that he would love to live in the United States because his family would agree to live there and the children know the language perfectly. For this reason, the chances of him arriving in the MLS next season are many and thus generate competition for Carlos Vela and Chicharito Hernandez.
