What is Cristian Pavón going to do in the near future? The question is very hard to answer, and it’s the one that everyone is trying to know at Argentina. The winger arrived to the country in which he was born to play at Boca Juniors, after his loan with LA Galaxy ended, but decided not to go to the first training of the year.

Boca Juniors is going to play the Superclásico against River Plate on Saturday and afterwards the semifinals of Libertadores Cup. But, assuring that he couldn’t have done his COVID-19 test due to the New Year's Eve, Pavón decided not to go to the training and generated a chaos in the club.

Pavón was loaned at the MLS side since August 2019 until December 2020 for $2 million. After 35 games played, in which he scored 14 goals and gave nine assists, he had to leave as LA Galaxy considered that the purchase option of $20 million that he had was too expensive.

The attacker will now talk with Miguel Ángel Russo, head coach from Boca to define if he will count on him or not. Without having playing during the last two months, it is hard to think that he will be used in such a definition on a tournament in the start of 2021. After all, there is still some excitement on LA Galaxy, after the possibility of having him back if Boca discards the forward aged 24.
