Not so long ago, Columbus Crew was the leader and arguably the best team on the Eastern Conference. Lucas Zelarayán's injury was a disaster for the Black-and-Yellow, which hasn't been able to stand up since then.. They now carry a four-game streak without wins. They are still confortable in the standings. But, who nows?

In the MLS everything can happen. That's something most teams now. Before the last five weeks, Columbus had won 9 games out of 13. The y where in great shape. But since their star got injured they haven't been the same. In addition, Toronto FC has shown to be the best team in the league and has stolen the top of the East.

Nontheless, none of the turndowns that the Crew had suffered until now where impossible to believe. Toronto beat them just at the same time that Gregg Vanney's team was starting to unleash their potential. Montreal is a dangerous team besides their irregularity, and a tie with Dallas isn't the end of the world. But been defeated by Cincinnati is very serious.

The problem of losing with the Blue and Orange in the first Hell is Real Derby of the MLS is that makes it clear that the team is going through a crisis. There's no other way to justify losing to a team that is almost inert offensively. Numbers are clear: FC Cincinnati has scored just ten times in 18 games. They scored twice against the Crew, which means that 20% of their goals were scored in that game. Turning Jaap Stam's team into something dangerous must be a red code o wake up.
