Miguel Berry appeared in this year's MLS season as one of the youth projections. Seventh pick in the MLS SuperDraft 2020, Columbus Crew decided to adquire him. But, since he was chosen, he did not have so much time in field to show his virtues and the Eastern Conference leaders decided to send him on loan to the San Diego Loyal SC from the USLC.

The Crew's outstanding actuality only became a problem to Berry. The 22-year-old forward had an interesting background at the University of San Diego where he registered 38 goals and 16 assists in three years. For his performance in the 2019 season, Berry was named the WCC Co-Player of the Year and he was a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann National Player of the Year award.

However, the dream of becoming a well-known player at MLS started to stagger for the striker born in Spain. "By going on loan to San Diego Loyal SC, Miguel will be able to get the valuable minutes that he needs at this stage of his career", said Crew SC President and General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. Berry will have to show what he was made for and return with that experience that can take him to the first team.
