With seven goals and three assists so far in MLS 2020, Chris Mueller is the best-performing US-born forward in the league. His last goal against Chicago Fiere placed him in fourth position in the championship scorers table and he is just three goals behind the tournament's top scorer: Uruguayan Diego Rossi.

Despite his great level, not much is heard about this player who has been decisive in the Orlando City season. While players like Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders), Jeremy Ebobisse (Portland Timbers), Corey Baird (Real Salt Lake) or Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC) are in that attacking position, Mueller has been better than all of them this season.

The next meeting that the US National Team will have will be in March 2021 when it visits Honduras for the League of Nations and then in June the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup will begin. Until then, it will have time to continue showing itself and convince Gregg Berhalter for a call.
