The Gallos Blancos had a terrible start to Liga MX 2022 as in their first match they drew 0-0 with Monterrey in a duel in which they lacked effectiveness. 

In fact, the star of that match was goalkeeper Washington Aguerre, who saved the Gallos Blancos' goal from the Rayados' constant onslaught. 

However, in the match against Pumas UNAM, the goalkeeper could not do much as the Auriazules were on a winning streak and beat them 3-1. 

It even seemed in the first half that Querétaro could beat Pumas UNAM when Ángel Sepúlveda scored a goal at minute 4, which gave the Gallos something to dream about.
