Chicharito excused himself from the team's poor performance saying that “they had given away the entire first half of the game and that they played with great fear”, a clear hint for his coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who has already been questioned about his tactics.
Also, he argued that the team lacks character and reaction, virtues that they had in the first games of this year. The forward tried to justify his bad sporting moment in the team and in the decisions made by the coach, alluding to the fact that he has no character to get out of disadvantageous situations such as being two goals down on the scoreboard.
The bad season of LA Galaxy had put in doubt the continuity of the Argentinean coach, and now one of his stars declared against him. These types of problems suggest that the players lost confidence in their coach, a problem that is very difficult to solve.
