Cesc Fàbregas and Carlos Vela are both old friends. They knew each other at Arsenal, where the Mexican arrived at 2006 and the Spanish on 2003. But after all these years, they couldn’t play together as they never met again in any teams. But that may be changing soon, as Fàbregas could go to the MLS to end his career.

The midfielder aged 33 is currently playing at AS Monaco, club that signed him on January 2019 for $10 million from Chelsea. It is the fourth club in his career, after FC Barcelona and Arsenal. To end his career, Fàbregas could be moving to the MLS and try a last jersey before retirement.

Vela tried many times to convince him to move and the next transfer window could be a good option, as his contract is ending on June 2022 and Monaco may not be pretending a lot of money. If such a move happens, then he will transform in one of the best paid players on the MLS.

Actually, Gonzalo Higuaín is the one who earns the most at the U.S. league with $8.8 million per year. Vela gains $6.3 per season and is Fàbregas joins he could earn just a bit less than his friend. LAFC is the team who has more chances to sign him, due to his old friendship with the Mexican attacker.
