Carlos Vela was linked to Mexico national team during almost all of his career, before resigning. The attacker made his debut on September 2007, played 72 games and scored 19 goals since then. Nowadays, it seems that he won’t be going back to Mexico after talks with head coach Gerardo Martino.

Vela made good friends at Mexico national team. One of them is Javier Aquino, the attacker with which he many times shared posts together on social media and who also resigned to Mexico. The relationship between this two is very good, even though they never played together in a club and they just reunited at the national team.

But at the end of the career of both players, they are thinking on playing together. Vela is comfortably installed at LAFC and is trying to convince Aquino to move to the MLS side. Aquino plays since July 2015 for Tigres UANL, club that paid $5 million to Villarreal to sign him.

The contract of the winger with the Liga MX side ends on December 2020 and the renovation hasn’t yet been made, so the chance from him to be making a move are certain. LAFC could sign a free agent and Vela may reunite with an old friend in a business that seems to be excellent for the MLS club.
