Argentine Carlos Tevez would return to the pitch after announcing that he left Boca Juniors in mid-2021. El Apache would put on his soccer boots again to continue his career in Major League Soccer (MLS). The soccer player considers this decision, after receiving several offers to return to professional soccer.

Adrian Ruocco, Tevez's agent, recently stated in an interview with TyC Sports that DC United is one of the options for the 'Apache'. The Athletic also reported that a close source has confirmed the interest of the Washington team, although the main obstacle so far is to reach an economic agreement.

Two more MLS teams have joined DC United's interest. According to journalist César Luis Merlo, Minnesota United and Orlando City want to compete with DC United and would like to sign the Argentine World Cup player. For the moment there is nothing official and the next few days will be important for Carlos' future.

What Tevez is looking for

"Clubs from all over have called, but what happens is that they are clubs that Carlos knows he is not going to go to. He is looking for a mix of sports with a bit of quality of life, basically. So, it has to be a family decision, where he has to move his family that is already settled in Argentina. It is not an easy decision. We have to look for the club that meets these conditions and it is not easy", his representative explained.

"If these two things - sports and quality of life - can be closed, Carlos can review it a little in his head, talk it over with his family, and maybe he can have a chance to play for a few more months," Ruocco said.

Finally, he also revealed which would be one of those clubs where Carlitos would put an end to his career in the coming months: "DC United is one of the clubs it could be". This would fulfill Tevez's wish of not joining a possible rival of the Xeneize club.

Tevez, 38 years old and an uncertain future

The 2022 MLS season will begin next Saturday, February 26, so the time for Carlos to define his future is very short and he is probably analyzing what is best for him and his family.

Tevez made a testimonial return to the pitch a few days ago as a guest at the Noche Amarilla to play a tribute match with Barcelona de Guayaquil. We may be witnessing a new return of Carlos Tevez, who scored 237 goals in 605 games during his career. The United States may be the last soccer destination of one of the most outstanding strikers in the last decade of the Albiceleste.
