A few hours ago, MLS confirmed that Canadian teams will be able to play this season, with a particular structure.

Days ago, there was talk about how the regulations in Canada prevented their teams from joining MLS. This is because Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and were not allowed to receive rivals to their country. However, today MLS announced the solution.
For the qualification to Playoffs, the teams will play from Canada and will play several games among themselves. That is, there will be a total of three games between the three groups. This system is committed to providing fair opportunities to participate in MLS to teams in Canada and to respect the regulations imposed by the country.

This is a temporary solution, hoping that Canada will soon allow the transfer and entry of MLS clubs in its country. The first game in Canada for MLS will be Toronto FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC on August 18th.
