Major League Soccer has had its share of memorable matches. From epic comebacks to playoffs where both teams have held nothing back, emotions are a constant in the U.S. soccer championship. However, there have also been multiple defeats and extremely exaggerated results in favor of one team or another. Seattle Sounders vs San Jose Earthquakes (7-1)

The match took place in the 2020 regular season. Seattle Sounders received San Jose Earthquakes in a match where the home team was a clear favorite. However, not even the most optimistic fan would have expected such a result. The home team thrashed the San Jose Earthquakes with one of the most impressive victories in the history of the tournament. 7-1. Jordan Morris, Raúl Ruidíaz (2), Kelvin Leerdman, Joevin Jones (2) and Joao Paulo Mior were the scorers.

Dallas Burn vs Los Angeles Galaxy (1-8)

For the biggest result to date, we have to go back to 1998. The Los Angeles Galaxy visited the defunct Dallas Burn at the Cotton Bowl Stadium for an MLS match. The final score stunned everyone in attendance. Harut Karapetyan scored a hat-trick, Ezra Hendrickson had a brace, Clint Mathis, Wélton and Greg Vanney finished the scoring. 8 goals by the visiting team.

New York City FC vs New York Red Bulls (0-7)

A most memorable edition of the Hudson River Derby. New York City was born as a promising project full of stars in the final stages of their careers who were looking for a last gasp in MLS. Villa, Pirlo and Fran Lampard were among the main players in this team. However, the city's great rivals and historic team gave them a warm welcome after beating them 7-0 at Yankee Stadium. Dax McCarty (2), Bradley Wright-Phillips (2), Alex Muyl, Gonzalo Verón and Gideon Baah were the scorers.
