Real Madrid is set to hand Karim Benzema a new contract ahead of the 2021-22 season. The French striker is an integral part of the Los Blancos squad and he led from the front as Real Madrid challenged for the League title last season.

After scoring 23 times in 34 La Liga matches, the Spanish giants are willing to extend the French striker's stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. Benzema's current contract is set to expire in summer 2022 but Madrid is set to offer him a one-year renewal on that contract.
The striker, who was recently reintegrated into the France National team, earns an impressive £15m per year. That comes to about £312,500 per week. He is undoubtedly one of the highest-paid players in Real Madrid. He is being paid this high salary for good reason because he has carried the Madrid team on his back since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. It is not clear if Real Madrid will be increasing his wages with the new contract.
Benzema is also reported to have a total net worth of about £125m. He has accumulated wealth from his wages at Lyon and Real Madrid and also from sponsorship deals from the likes of Adidas, Hyundai and EA Sports.
