Atlanta United season was a rollercoaster and a really scary one. They began the tournament as one of the main candidates and now they are almost the worst team of the league, if it wasn’t for LA Galaxy and Cincinnati, they would be the worst. What happened to all the investment in wonderkids?

The main one, Ezequiel Barco was way too expensive to the club. The Argentinian cost almost $15 millions of Atlanta. When he was at Independiente he was the main star with less than 21 years, he won the Copa Sudamericana, which is like the Europa League from South America.

That means that we were talking about one of the main wonderkids in Argentina. Atlanta made a huge effort an bought it expecting the same as they expected from Miguel Almirón and Pity Martinez. But now, both of them are gone due the an incapability of the team to retain them.
