Atlanta United might be saying goodbye to this young player

Atlanta United ended last season with a 2-0 defeat against the team that would end up becoming MLS champion, New York City FC. They didn’t seem to like how things went and now they are trying to improve their roster, but in order to do that, first they need to open some international spots.

Ezequiel Barco was an important piece in the championship Atlanta United won after the 2018 MLS Season, but his time with the Five Stripes might have come to an end after playing 29 games on the last season, where he managed to score seven goals and assist on six occasions.

According to reports, Brazilian side Sport Club Internacional send an offer to Atlanta to acquire Barco’s services on a paid loan with option to buy. Atlanta has yet to answer the offer, but they might be looking on a permanent transfer as the Argentinean winger has one remaining year of contract.

Ezequiel Barco’s numbers with Atlanta United

Since joining Atlanta out of Club Atlético Independiente back in 2018, the 22-year-old Argentinean has played a total of 107 games for the Five Stripes. On that span of time, he managed to score 19 goals and assist on 18 occasions. He also played 11 games in CONCACAF Champions League.
