In MLS, clashes between players are not unusual, but this is when a manager provokes a fight.

Paul Rushing was ejected from the match

This happened to Philadelphia Union athletic trainer Paul Rushing, who was ejected in the 79th minute for trying to hit Nicolas Acevedo.

Rushing insulted New York City players and was shown a red card by referee Armando Villarreal in the match.

 

The Philadelphia Union defeated New York City in the most attractive matchup of week 16 in MLS.
