Lionel Messi will make a landmark move today as he debuts for Paris Saint-Germain. The football world was thrown in shock when the 6-time Ballon d'Or winner announced earlier in August that he'd be ending a 21-year association with FC Barcelona. Subsequently, the Argentine Maestro completed a free transfer to the Paris-based club in a matter of 2 days.

After the rigours of leading Argentina to Copa America victory in Brazil, Lionel Messi was given extended leave and arrived in the French capital has not trained for 1 month. Now the pacy forward has gained match fitness and will turn out for the Parisians in his first-ever match outside Barcelona colours. The match will be played against Reims at the Stade Auguste Delaune.

While Messi makes his debut, the whole world will be watching, including the eyes of some celebrities. Chief amongst those that will watch Messi make his debut for PSG will be his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo. She has moved with him to the City of Love, Paris and she would be at the stadium to cheer on her man. Alongside his children Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro.

Another celebrity that will certainly be watching is his former teammate and ex-PSG player, Ronaldinho. Though the Brazilian cannot come down to Paris due to his legal issues, Ronaldinho would certainly be urging Messi on to perform in a shirt that he also wore at some point. Also, it is expected that PSG Chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and other Qatari Sheikhs will be watching as their latest star makes his debut. The Messi debut match starts at 2:45 pm ET and 7:45 pm BST.
