The Brazilian Alexandre Pato, Orlando City striker, will undergo knee surgery in Brazil and will begin a rehabilitation process there that will keep him out for an indefinite period of time, his team reported in a statement on Sunday.
"The operation will be carried out on September 9th and the initial recovery process will take place in Brazil”, reads the statement provided by the team of Colombian Óscar Pareja. Alexander Pato with 33 years old and a ex striker for Villarreal, Milan and Chelsea, among others, was injured in his right knee on August 13th against the New York Red Bulls.

It is a new injury for the Brazilian, who throughout his career has been slowed down by a long series of physical problems, both muscular and ligamentous.
"Pato is very competitive and we are sad to see him suffer this injury. But we know he will work hard to come back on the court even stronger”. It was said from Orlando general manager Luiz Muzzi.
Pato had already missed 26 games last year due to another knee operation, being out from May to October. Injuries have been the great nightmare of the Brazilian, who a few years ago was one of the great figures in world football.
