DC United is not coming through their best moments at the MLS league. They need a hierarchy jump to start climbing positions in the Eastern Conference and reach the playoff zone: the objective Ben Olsen settled for his team at the beginning of the season. In that way, they're seeking for a new arrival.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is United's new desire. After a great experience with Wayne Rooney for two seasons, a good relationship has been settled with Everton FC, club of the English Premier League. The Iceland player is one of the stelar members of the Liverpool's squad but with years left in his career, an experience in USA can be profitable.

His actual market value is unpayable as he has a $45M transfer fee and a $5.2M anual salary. Something that is totally unpayable for an MLS team in actuality. However, Sigurdsson's contract ends in 2022 and with only two years left in England, he would arrive as a free agent.
