Guillermo Ochoa continues playing with the Mexican National Team and breaking records

Guillermo Ochoa has been playing in the Mexican National Team for more than 20 years, now the Salernitana goalkeeper wants to be in his sixth World Cup in 2026. A record that any soccer player has achieved and for which the Mexican dreams about.

This decision has been criticized by former player Luis García and goalkeeper José de Jesús Corona, who mentioned that Ochoa should let young players play and retire forever from the Mexican National Team.

Now Guillermo Ochoa broke a record in the game of the Mexican National Team against Jamaica, this is that he became the Concacaf goalkeeper with the most international games, surpassing the Honduran Noel Valladares and the Panamanian Jaime Penedo.

Guillermo Ochoa played his first international match in 2005, after coach Ricardo Antonio La Volpe debuted him with the Mexican National Team, the goalkeeper has played all tournaments with the Mexican National Team, Gold Cup, Concacaf Cup, Nations League, qualifying games and friendly games.

Ochoa goes for his sixth World Cup

Guillermo Ochoa has been to five World Cups, although he has only played in three. In 2006 and 2010 he was a substitute and could not have a minute of activity. Now the Mexican goalkeeper wants to surpass the historical players, Iker Casillas and Gianluigi Buffon.
