Guillermo Ochoa arrived at Salernitana in the winter market. The Mexican goalkeeper signed a six-month contract with this club and began as a starter. He played six games but conceded 16 goals and is now a substitute.

Goalkeeper Luigi Sepe is the team's starter and Ochoa has had to be on the team's bench in the last two games. Even the new coach Paulo Sousa prefers the Italian player and with this Salernitana does not have Guillermo for the rest of the season.

Guillermo Ochoa has to start 12 games for Salernitana to renew his contract for one year, but this seems impossible because the club plans to have him as a substitute for the rest of the season and thus leave the Mexican as a free agent.

Ochoa in Mexico is a highly valued goalkeeper and several MX League clubs will be interested in hiring him, plus MLS is an option for Guillermo because his family wants him to retire in the United States.

The main option for Guillermo Ochoa

However, Cruz Azul is the main option for Guillermo Ochoa. The club does not want to renew Jesús Corona because he is very veteran and Sebastián Jurado has not convinced the fans due to his terrible performances. So the historic player of the Mexican National Team will have to define his future.
