The duel began and before Chivas had finished finding themselves on the field, the first goal was scored in the 6th minute of the match with an early goal that Club Deportivo Guadalajara could not recover from.

Goals from Guido Pizarro and André Pierre-Gignac opened the scoring

It all came from a corner kick taken by Florian Thauvin and cleared by Isaac Brizuela, but the ball returned to Thauvin's feet and was sent back into the Rebaño Sagrado's six-yard box.

At that moment, Guido Pizarro, who was well-positioned, headed the ball into the back of the net without Raúl Gudiño being able to do anything to prevent it.

With this goal, the Chivas were out of concentration and although they resisted throughout the first half, they would not go to the break with the score at 1-0.

And although the first half looked like shooting practice for the "Volcán" team, the Rebaño Sagrado would have some interesting attacks, one of them through a pass to Alexis Vega, who was unable to finish properly and his shot went wide of Nahuel Guzmán's goal.

But as early as the 25th minute, Gignac had already shown his desire to score as he received a good cross into the small area and made a brutal header into the goal, which Gudiño had to do his best to keep out of his trajectory.

But the goal was not scored in that minute, but in the 45th minute, when a cross was headed to Juan Pablo Vigón, who sent a pass to Gignac. The Frenchman saw the pass coming towards him and, without thinking twice, scissor-kicked a spectacular goal, with which Tigres and Chivas went to the break with a score of 2-0.

Carlos González's goal, the final nail in Chivas's coffin

In the second half, the Rebaño Sagrado came out a little more connected than in the first half, with a series of attacks that failed to find Guzmán's goal.

One of those who came closest and shot at goal was Cristian Calderón, "Chicote", who received a cross from Jesús "Canelo" Angulo, but when he tried to shoot, his shot went wide.

The worst part was that "Chicote" had several of his teammates in the opponent's box with no cover from the Tigres defense, so he wasted a great opportunity to score Chivas' first goal.

This would weigh on the scoreboard because, at minute 70, Carlos González, who had just entered the match, scored the 3-0 goal thanks to a cross from Sebastián Córdova.

The last goal of the match and Chivas' only goal was scored by Roberto "Piojo" Alvarado, who took advantage of a series of rebounds in the Tigres area, resulting from a dribble by Alexis Vega.

With this score, Tigres moves closer to the fight for the lead in the general table, while Chivas loses again and begins to falter in Liga MX 2022.
