Will the drama finally end? Cristian Pavón wasn’t part of Boca Junior’s squad against Colo Colo
Reports suggest that Cruz Azul made a $1.8 million offer for Pavón.
Although it seemed that Cristian Pavón wasn’t going to arrive in La Noria, recent conversations have opened the possibility again, especially after his absence on the squad Sebastián Battaglia called for tonight’s game against Colo Colo for Torneo Internacional de Verano.
But not only that, as Guillermo “Pol” Fernández traveled this weekend to Argentina, alleging personal reasons, but rumors suggest he also agreed with the Xeneize management his transfer from Cruz Azul, as the attacking midfielder could be part of a trade involving Pavón.
According to reports, negotiations between both teams have resumed, and Cruz Azul made an offer around $1.8 million, and Boca Juniors are strongly considering on accepting as they would rather earn something instead of letting Pavón walk free on the summer, when his contract ends.
Cristian Pavón numbers with Boca Juniors
The 25-year-old right-winger first joined Boca Juniors back in 2015 out of Club Atlético Talleres. He’s been loaned a couple of times, playing for LA Galaxy in the 2020 MLS Season. So far, he’s played a total of 155 games for the Xeneizes, scoring 33 goals and assisting in 40 occasions. Boca Juniors were expecting an offer close to $3.5 million for his economic rights.
