The player suffered a serious injury in the match against Seattle Sounders and missed the match against Pachuca, a game that the Auriazules won and for which they will play in the reclassification to earn a place in the Liguilla.

But what worries Auriazules fans now is not so much to reach the Liguilla, but to play and win the final of the CONCACAF Champions League, in which the Universitarios will fight against the Seattle Sounders of the MLS.

Therefore, the biggest question for the Universitarios is whether they will be able to count on the right back to try to win a place in the FIFA Club World Cup and become part of the history of Mexican clubs that have reached this stage.

Will Alan Mozo be in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League?

So far there is no confirmation from Pumas UNAM, as coach Andrés Lillini has commented that they are monitoring Mozo's recovery, but that he does want to have him in the final.

Specifically, Lillini did not want to say if Mozo will be in the lineup, but he did open the possibility of considering him for the match against the Seattle Sounders, but everything will depend on how he evolves in the next few days.

And if the player recovers, he could include him in the lineup or rule him out for the Concachampions final. His words on the matter were these:

"Alan was in pain, the strain the doctor told me that it is day by day; I know that it is difficult for him to be on the preliminary list that Concacaf makes me go through, we put him in, and Alan's treatment is day by day."

Alan Mozo has to be beaten: Andrés Lillini

According to the head coach of Pumas UNAM, they will know if Alan Mozo will be able to play in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League a few hours before the match, but in order to get ahead of that, they will have to hit the player.

"I'll be able to tell you Tuesday night or Wednesday morning what he's in for because it's a situation, it's just a situation where we can test him by hitting him, that's where the pain is."

Mozo injured his left knee and ankle after Ecuador's Xavier Arreaga, a Seattle Sounders player, fell on him in a dispute for the ball.

He was even seen at the end of the match walking with crutches at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, which led to fears of the worst and that he would miss the final of the CONCACAF Champions League.
