With the Cañoneros' win yesterday, everyone is wondering who Miguel Sansores is, the one who annihilated the Aguilas in the Liga MX 2022 Club America vs Mazatlan FC with his second goal.
Club América News: Mexican national derby with a chance to be played in the United States
With his goal against one of the most powerful teams in Mexico, the player is now one of the most sought-after names in Mexican soccer.
Miguel Angel Sansores Sanchez is a Mexican soccer player, who currently plays as a forward for Mazatlan F. C. of Liga MX, which yesterday handed a painful defeat to Club America, one of the most powerful teams in Mexican soccer.
With a 2-1 scoreline, the "Cañoneros" defeated the Aguilas and proved to them that you don't need an expensive roster to win games in Liga MX 2022.
The player began his career with Venados Futbol Club Yucatán, a team that plays in the Liga de Expansión MX, based in the city of Mérida, in the state of Yucatán.
Sansores stood out for his quality and way of playing in this team and for this reason, Monarcas Morelia, the team to which Venados de Yucatán is affiliated, called him to be part of the first squad under the guidance of Tomás Boy, to face the 2010 Bicentennial Tournament and the Copa Libertadores 2010.
Miguel Sansores was born in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico on April 28, 1991, making him 30 years old.
Known by his nickname "El Mueble", he made his debut in the Libertadores on March 9, 2010, when he came on as a substitute at the Alejandro Serrano Aguilar Stadium in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador) in the 77th minute for the Colombian Luis Gabriel Rey in the duel between Deportivo Cuenca and Morelia.
In this match, the Mexicans lost 2-0, but Sansores fulfilled his dream of being the second Yucatecan player to play in the Copa Libertadores, as previously this achievement only belonged to Gerardo Torres, and a day later William Paredes would do so with Rayados de Monterrey.
After leaving Monarcas Morelia, Sansores played for teams in the Second Division of Mexican Soccer such as Toros Neza from 2011 to 2013, and then he moved on to Cruz Azul Hidalgo, also in the Second Division.
Later in 2014 he would return to Monarcas Morelia and would leave there until 2020, when he went to play for Xolos de Tijuana, where he would play from 2020 to 2022, to return to Morelia, a team that had already changed its name and is now known as Mazatlán FC.
And it would be precisely in this team where the player would achieve the feat of defeating Club America with his second goal yesterday.
Sansores achieved a victory that will be remembered by the fans of the Cañoneros, but if he wants to stand out in Mexican soccer, he will have to improve his goal average since the last time he played for Mazatlán FC, he only scored 3 goals.
Will Emilio Azcárraga finally fire Santiago Solari after Club América’s defeat against Mazatlán FC?
