He is an Argentinean footballer who plays as a central defender and his current team is Club Tijuana of the First Division of Mexico, popularly known as Xolos de Tijuana, and who comes from a team of Argentinean royalty since he played with Boca Juniors

The player arrived at Liga MX in January 2022 and just on Friday night, January 28, he made his debut in the Mexican League 2022 in the defeat that his team suffered against Puebla with a score of 3-1. 

Where and when was Lisandro López born?

The player was born in Villa Constitución, Santa Fe, Argentina on September 1, 1989, so he is 32 years old. 

Licha or Lichi, as he is popularly known, is the son of Pedro López who was also a footballer and played as a central defender in Mataderos.

And not only the two of them have been dedicated to sports since his brother Lucas López is also a soccer player and played for Club Atlético Platense.

In which other teams have Lisandro López played?

The Argentinean defender has extensive experience in teams in Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and now Mexico. 

In Argentina, the player played for Chacarita Juniors and Arsenal de Sarandí, and his last team in that country was Boca Juniors. 

In Portugal, the player was part of Benfica, who loaned him to Getafe of Spain for the 2013-2014 season and on September 26 he scored his first goal in Europe in a 2-0 victory against Celta de Vigo. 

The player would continue in Getafe until his change to Italian soccer where he would be loaned to Inter Milan to later arrive at Genoa. 

And this would be his last European team since at the beginning of 2018 he was transferred from Genoa to Boca Juniors where he would not take long to score his first goal on February 10, 2019, against Belgrano de Córdoba.

In that club, the player played 77 games and as a defender, he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists, which makes it clear that in addition to his defensive work, he can be a key element when his team goes on the attack.
