Among those that remain in the past are clubs that compete in lower divisions such as Atlante, Zacatepec (the Potros de Hierro in the Liga de Expansión MX), Oro and Tecos de la UAG (the  two in Liga Premier, Third Division). Maximum winner in the history of Mexican soccer

In Mexico, titles will always be synonymous with greatness. Surprisingly, thanks to its conquest of the Guardianes 2021, Cruz Azul won its 22nd title, consolidating its position in third place. Now, Atlas won the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 titles, although it has only three in its history.

América is the team that can boast the most championships with 13, followed by Chivas, Cruz Azul, Toluca, Leon and Pumas, in that order. The teams from Monterrey  -Tigres UANL and CF Monterrey- are beginning to close the gap.

In the last Apertura 2021, a new champion arrived. Atlas overcame León and a semester later did the same against Pachuca, becoming  three-time and back-to-back national champion.
