From Brazil, it is assured that Cruz Azul would be interested in the 33-year-old forward, who plays in the Brasileirao and has a European background in the aforementioned teams. However, he did not want to give more details but assured that reinforcements from abroad will arrive.

Everything indicates that Diego Costa would be on Cruz Azul's radar, but his high salary is the one that would be generating the obstacles for his signature with La Máquina. Velasquez assured that he will wait this week to define the reinforcements since the Apertura 2022 is just around the corner.

How much is Diego Costa asking to play for Cruz Azul?

According to Mundo Deportivo, Diego Costa is asking for a salary of 3 million dollars a year to play for Cruz Azul, a figure that the club is not willing to pay at the moment.
