The Frenchman is still a long way behind Hugo Ayala, who in more than a decade accumulated 459 games in different competitions. Gignac now goes for the mark of former Brazilian defender, Juninho, who between 2010 and 2018 saw action in 329 official matches.

André-Pierre is the top scorer in the history of Club Tigres with 166 goals scored in official matches.

Tigres lost the match and the first place in Liga Mx

At the end of the match, Pachuca is now in fourth place in the standings with 12 points. Tigres, meanwhile, are left with 15 points and in third place in the tournament, thus losing their chance to remain at the top of the table.
