Even after Clausura 2022 already started, a Tigres player is tired of the way Miguel Herrera works and is looking to leave Los Felinos during the current winter transfer window, especially after knowing he’s not liked by the Mexican coach.

Miguel Herrera said during the offseason that Rafael Carioca wasn’t part of his plans for the second leg of 2021-22 Liga MX Season, something that was taken as a sign and Brazilian side Botafogo started negotiations for him.

Although back then they couldn’t close an agreement, as his release clause is set at $5 million, a price Botafogo wasn’t keen on paying. But now, Carioca’s agent has said that he wants to return to Botafogo, club that he loves, and negotiations are still happening.

Does Rafael Carioca have possibilities of leaving Los Felinos?

Although he’s under contract until 2023 with Tigres, he’s not comfortable being on the bench, hence the reason he’s looking to return to Brazilian soccer. But he also thinks he could be fighting for a spot in Brazil National Team if he plays in his home country.
