Now, with Chivas away from the top spots in Liga MX standings and with Marcelo Michel Leaño’s lack of a solid project for the near future, it’s clear that El Rebaño Sagrado needs urgent changes from inside, not only on the roster, but also the coaching staff and even the ownership.

That’s why Stan Kroenke, American billionaire, could be considering buying Chivas from Amaury Vergara and help the return to their former glory, as he’s now looking for a new challenge after the LA Rams became Super Bowl champions in their own new stadium. The first decision he'll make as Chivas owner? Acquire Carlos Vela to help boost the team ,hoping to win a Liga MX title again after more than 5 years.

Who is Stan Kroenke?

The 74-year-old entrepreneur is known for his sports empire, as he not only owns the LA Rams, but he also has teams in different leagues and sports, as the Colorado Avalanche on NHL, Denver Nuggets on NBA and both Colorado Rapids on MLS and Arsenal FC on Premier League.
