Even if José Manuel Vucetich has had a long and successful career in Liga MX, especially with Monterrey, where he won two Liga MX and three consecutive CONCACAF Champions League between the 2010-11 season and the 2012-13 season, he’s now without a job.

Although after leaving Monterrey he’s barely managed to win anything, he’s one of the most respected coaches in Liga MX, as he’s coached 14 different Mexican clubs. His last club was Chivas, where he coached 45 matches but only was able to win 17 of them and tie 17 more.

“El Rey Midas” is now in the radar of Club América, given that Santiago Solari’s numbers have been disappointing, especially for Clausura 2022, where Las Águilas have yet to know what a victory feels like, as they stand 16 on Liga MX with just one point.

Is Vucetich willing to arrive in Club América?

A lot of people will criticize the Mexican coach if he assumes the position in Club América, given that he just coached their eternal rival, Chivas, but according to “Vuce”, any coach would love to be on the bench of Liga MX’s most winner club.
