Club América is starting to leave the bottom of the table after having their worst start in Liga MX in over 70 years, thanks to the seven points they’ve earned in the last four games, as they defeated Toluca and Atlético San Luis and tied against Chivas in the Clásico Nacional.

Fernando “Tano” Ortíz has found a way to get the positive results they couldn’t achieve while Santiago Solari was in the dugout, but he still needs to find a wat to improve their performances, especially on the offense, as the strikers that América have, haven’t been of much help.

Henry Martín hasn’t showed why he was considered to be a player worthy of a team like Club América, as he arrived in El Nido thanks to his agent, as PitZGroup is known for constantly negotiating with Santiago Baños.

But since Baños arrived in Las Águilas, they have won just one Liga MX in five years, which is why Emilio Azcárraga is looking to part ways with him and bring in someone that identifies with Club América colors, like Daniel “Ruso” Brailovsky.

Brailovsky knows what his first decision will be

“El Ruso” Brailovsky has been linked to Club América throughout his career, as he played with them in the 80s and then coached them in the 2000s, which is why Azcárraga wants him to replace Santiago Baños as Las Águilas president.

Brailovsky has opened the door to take over the position, as he resigned from his job as a TV analyst over a month ago, waiting to return to Club América, where he knows that the club needs to do two things to improve their current performances.

The first thing that he’ll do is sign a striker that takes the place of Henry Martín. Among the options he has, there’s names like Carlos Vela, Juan Dinenno or Nicolás Ibañez, but the one that has more chances to arrive is Alexis Canelo, who is looking for a fresh start.

Academy teams will have more projection

Fernando Ortíz already started promoting players from the academy teams to the senior squad, although there’s at least three more players that could be promoted: Rodrigo Barrientos, Sebastián Martínez and Sergio de los Ríos, as they’ve showed enough potential to be considered to debut with Las Águilas.
